How much are the payments to be made for the internet domain name complaint application?
If the application is carried out by a sole arbitrator, 4,500 TL including VAT (1,500 TL for our Centre and 3,000 TL for a sole arbitrator); if the application is carried out by three arbitrators, 13,500 TL including VAT (4,500 TL for our Centre and 9,000 TL for arbitrators) must be paid.
What should be considered in internet domain name complaint applications?
Before applying for an internet domain name, the Edict of Dispute Resolution Mechanism for Internet Domain Names (“Edict”) must be read and the information and documents to be requested in the application (Art. 7 of the Edict) must be complete. In the information and documents to be submitted, the Complainant should pay more attention to the fulfillment of the application conditions set forth in Article 25 of the Internet Domain Names Regulation.
Is it mandatory to file a complaint if the information of the owner (Complainant) of the internet domain name subject to the complaint is not known?
The fact that the information of the Complainant is not known by the Complainant is not an obstacle to file a complaint. After the application is submitted, our Centre can find out the owner of the internet domain name.
How does anyone select the arbitrator(s) who will handle the internet domain name grievance application
The arbitrator/arbitrators should be selected from the “Arbitrator List” on the “Internet Domain Names Dispute Resolution” button on the website of our Centre.
What is the procedure to be followed by the Complainant in case the transfer of the internet domain name subject to the complaint is decided as a result of the complaint application?
After the award decision has been ruled by the arbitrator(s), our Centre requests the Complainant to fill out a form containing the information of the new internet domain name owner to whom the internet domain name will be transferred and forwards this form to the Information and Bilgi ve Teknolojileri Kurumu to create a transfer code. Then, the Complainant can perform the transfer process before the relevant institutions with the transfer code shared with him.
